Shopping List & Menu for Thurs

Hi dad! Just a few things to pick up at ShopRite. All things can be found on the OUTER PERIMETER of the store. Start at the vegetables/produce section when you first walk in and keep going all around the store until you get to the far corner where the eggs/yogurt section is!

Produce
-Bag of grapefruit (make sure you feel them and try to buy ones that aren't super mushy/over riped)
-Big bag of broccoli (it's in the back of the produce section on the far wall near the refridgerated dressing and tofu-it should say "club size" package - if you can't find it just get a few broccoli crowns fresh or the smaller bags)
-Bag of spinach
-Small package of white mushrooms
-Red and green peppers (get about 5 or 6-- you can pick them out yourself -- get small ones -- or get them in a bagged package from the "club size" section)
-Celery (preferably already cut and chopped in a baggie if they have it, if not just get it stems, leaves, and all)
-2 bags of lettuce  (romaine, butter lettuce, or spring mix - whatever you like best! you pick! romaine has the best crunch)
-6 cucumbers (again, make sure they're not mushy)
-cherry tomatoes (either one club size container -bigger - or three little containers)

Dairy Section
-Two trays of hardboiled eggs (you can find them next to the egg beater/eggwhite liquid in the corner of the dairy section at the back of the store in a black tray - around 2.24 for 12 eggs hardboiled)
-1 big container of eggwhite liquid (shoprite brand or whatever is on sale is fine)

Freezer Aisle
-4 or 5 packages of plain frozen mixed veggies (usually on sale for $1.00 or something around that price -- frozen broccoli, spinach, red and green peppers, stir fry mix blends, california blends, normandy blends, water chestnuts, green beans, that kind of thing)

OK that's it! I think that with everything at home that should be fine. What do you think? I figured you have nuts and things like that at home.  You're going to need some more cans of tuna soon, but I figured this was enough of a workout around the grocery store for one day. Maybe you can stop tomorrow and just pick tuna cans up and thats it. Actually, ALDI has cans of tuna for .50 cents or something like that, so that might be the way to go, it's a great deal! Only thing is their tuna is not low sodium so you have to keep that in mind when you're watching your sodium intake for the rest of the day. BUT there is canned chicken at home, I know that, and canned beans, so let's try that for a few days and see how it goes!

OK - So here's THE MENU for tomorrow!

Don't forget for Thursday's lunch to bring a (1) tray of hardboiled eggs with you to work, along with (2) 2 tablespoons of hummus (3) blender bottle shake with NECTAR in it - you can fill it up with water and chill it at work if you don't want it to be heavy (4) rest of your grapefruit from the morning (5) broccoli, celery, carrots, red peppers in a ziploc (6) Kashi chia bar
